The IUCN Red List celebrates 50 years!

The International Union for Conservation of Nature, IUCN, is the world’s oldest and largest global environmental network. Their mission is to help the world find pragmatic solutions to our most pressing environmental- and development challenges. This year IUCN celebrates 50 years of the IUCN Red List. This list is widely recognized as the most comprehensive, objective global  approach for evaluating the conservation status of plant and animal species.
